iSport360 Expands its Team with Two Industry All-Stars

San Francisco, CA (Tuesday, July 12, 2022)—As the most innovative leaders in sports meet at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco for the Horizon Sports Summit, iSport360, Inc., the leader in youth sports software today announces two new appointments – Matt Knapp and David Aufhauser – to its all-star Advisory Board.

Matt Knapp

Matt Knapp:  EdTech Innovator, CEO and Board Member

Matt brings two decades of leadership and innovation experience in EdTech with companies such as FACTS Management, Smart Tuition and Blackbaud.   He has spent his career improving the ways schools and families connect around education.

“I have always been looking for a partner who can help us bring better communication, organization and player development to school sports,” said Ian Goldberg, Founder and CEO of iSport360.  “Matt is uniquely qualified to help us expand our mission to the 125,000 private and public schools in the US alone.”

“There is a greenfield opportunity, an unmet need to connect coaches, athletes, and parents in school sports.” Knapp shared. “As a sports parent, I see the opportunity to extend the individualized development & engagement benefits derived from classroom technology and use that same model to impact student-athletes.”

In his role, Matt will help iSport360 open doors to strategic partnerships, investment and M&A opportunities in the EdTech industry.

David Aufhauser:  SportsTech innovator and former Managing Director of Intel Sports

David Aufhauser is an accomplished SportsTech executive, Board member and Founder, formerly serving as the Managing Director of Intel Sports and General Manager of the Pac-12.  David has built ventures across the SportsTech industry pioneering immersive media, video streaming, metaverse, mobile/social content, fan engagement and the quantified athlete to create leading edge businesses.

“Pro sports leagues, teams and ownership have taken a strong interest in iSport360 to drive engagement of young athletes and no one has done more tech deals in pro sports than David,” said Ian Goldberg, iSport360 Founder and CEO.  A Stanford graduate and Silicon Valley sports dad, David has spent his career using technology to maximize athlete performance, fan engagement and revenue.  He is currently leading a group to bring an NWSL expansion franchise to the SF Bay Area and serving on the board of Uru Sports.

While David is an advisor and investor for several early-stage tech companies, he talks about what attracted him to iSport360: “Not only is iSport360 uniquely addressing the pain points in youth sports, but pro sports teams and leagues love engaging the next generation of sports fans on iSport360.  I want to help scale that business.”

In his role, David will help iSport360 navigate partnerships with pro sports teams and leagues as well as open doors to investment, partnerships and M&A in the SportsTech industry.
