As we approach the new sports season, coaches and parents across the country will be asked to pledge that they will behave properly on the sidelines of their kids’ games. But parent sideline behavior is so much more complex than that. That’s why we lose our minds sometimes on the sidelines and don’t even know why. (extra space after sentences)

At least we’re not alone: Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell are also guilty of losing their minds on the sidelines of their kids’ games. But this season, let’s become incredibly aware of how our behavior impacts our kids and the game. And when you have the sudden urge to jump out of your seat and yell from the sidelines, let’s do what’s best for our kids and just chill.

Have a great sports season.
