I was honored to join thought-leaders from across the sports industry at this week’s Aspen Institute Project Play Summit. The event was hosted by ESPN announcer Cassidy Hubbarth and attended by leaders from Under Armor, Special Olympics, Nickelodeon, Yahoo Sports, UCLA, the NBA…and a little company (making a HUGE impact) called iSport360. We have a Progressive system when it comes to educating our kids. They have to demonstrate proficiency and general understanding when it come to reading, writing and arithmetic before they can go onto the next grade. I started playing organized basketball in Kindergarten at the JCC in West Orange, NJ. Opportunities were hard to find during those young years, but my parents always found a place for me to play.
